WITHAM CLUSTER

We are called Witham Cluster because our 8 branches reach out to members on both banks of the river Witham.

Our members meet in Saxilby, Cherry Willingham, Washingborough, North Hykeham and we have four branches who meet within Lincoln City. St Faiths, St John’s Ermine, St Nicholas Newport and Minster group.

Members meet in their branch groups usually once a month but are active in their own communities and churches with projects supporting children and family life. We also get together as a cluster for meals, church services, outings and to share speakers.

We support various groups within Lincolnshire including Baby Basket, Premature baby unit, Women’s Centre, Local residential homes and the Dementia ward at Lincoln Hospital through craft projects and collections of toiletries etc. We frequently serve on the coffee rota at St Benedict’s and are actively involved with the Students at Bishop Grosseteste University giving out Mothers’ Union compiled recipes books, information and cuppa soup packets at the Freshers’ Fayre. We also support the Tea & Toast sessions run by the chaplaincy providing cakes and a listening ear if required.

Several our members do not have a group which they can attend and have become Diocesan members. They join in with the branches as and when they can and usually come together twice a year socially.
