Overseas Work

Mothers' Union in the Lincoln Diocese is linked to 6 other dioceses worldwide. These are:

Taita Taveta in Kenya
Bauchi in Nigeria
Gombe in Nigeria
Maiduguri in Nigeria
Kano in Nigeria
Tirunelveli in South India.

We exchange letters and support each other in prayer. During 6th - 10th May each year we particularly remember our fellow members in these dioceses in a Wave of Prayer, holding special services.

In August 2000, two members from our diocese visited the dioceses in Nigeria, and two others visited Kenya. We were warmly welcomed and given rich hospitality over three weeks. We gave talks about Mothers' Union in this diocese, and returned with a greater understanding of their work in their own countries.

Mothers' Union Diocese of Lincoln have organised exchange visits with members from five members of our Link Dioceses in Africa.
