What is the Aim of Mothers' Union?The Aim is the advancement of the Christian religion in the sphere of marriage and family life. In order to carry this out there are five objects. Mothers' Union is a Christian organisation which promotes the well-being of families world-wide. We achieve this by:
As a voluntary organisation Mothers' Union offers friendship, care and unconditional love to thousands of women and men throughout the world, a lifeline for many families. It is a praying, teaching and caring society. Membership is open to both men and women who have been baptised in the name of the Trinity and who support the Aims and Objects. Mothers' Union Diocese of Lincoln HQThe Centre (at St Benedict's Church) is the administrative headquarters of Mothers' Union in this Diocese and messages for all the above officers may be left there. It is an oasis for rest and quietness in the busy city centre and light refreshments are available there, as is a wide range of high quality, moderately priced cards, books and gifts produced by Mothers' Union Enterprises - our own trading company. The Centre is open to the public on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10.00 am to 2.30 pm. Office Hours are 9:30am to 2:00pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday - telephone 01522 527145. If we are not open there is an answerphone for you to leave a message. We are a part of the Diocese of lincoln.
